The Ends of Times
On the day that dragon leapt out from the cloud,
And the spectre of speculation clammored very loud(ly).
Where the commonest of souls stood out clearly from the crowd,
And the thoughts you were pondering are probably not allowed.
Is this the end of time?
Or am I losing my mind?
If God knows everything,
Why have things gone wrong?
Have the god's gone crazy?
Or this world just don't belong?
[Instrumental]
Are these the ends of times?
Or we are we losing our minds?
On the day that the night time - began forever,
And the day before the world had gone insane,
We had glimpse of something come unveiled.
It was something that shone above and far beyond the pale.
Is this end of time?
Or am I losing my mind?
If anyone is listening;
Where am I going wrong?
Must I endure this darkness, forever -
Oh so long...
Are these ends of times?
Or are we losing our minds?

This is basically 'a song sung by a sinner at the end of time'. A person who feels that perhaps all the good people are gone, and he has been left behind in a decaying twilight world.
It comes right out and asks some of the questions God hears the most, especially when things start looking dark.
The demeanor of the song is foreboding, and perhaps it is just a reflection of how I sometimes sense that 'something is wrong' among people when I walk through the city in Winter.
As a side note, some thought I wrote this about the 'Corona Virus' lockdown. I actually wrote and copyrighted it in 2019 before any of that started. However, I must admit there were times when I was finishing the recording mixdown on this song which occurred during the lockdown, that it would strike an eerie nerve somewhere deep within.
The song is followed by an instrumental on the CD called 'The King's Grand Procession'. These two songs are meant to be heard back to back, if anyone listens to songs in that way any more. : -)
